Well it’s been a busy summer for everyone, and I’m so glad to come back here and have another chance at sharing with the girls and with all of you. I’ve been thinking about what to say, what to share…and I think I’ve got it.
For me, one of the greatest “takeaways” from this program is once again witnessing what a small change can bring about in a person’s attitude and spirit. We so often get caught up in feeling overwhelmed…overwhelmed with all our responsibilities, overwhelmed with the enormity of the task of losing weight, overwhelmed with all the changes that have to be made. But let’s look at these girls and what they accomplished in just a short period of time…
Our girls each had their work cut out from them. But each one started out positive, and continued day by day by taking it one step at a time, one meal at a time, one decision at a time, one workout at a time…and in a short 12 weeks they accomplished some things they thought they could NEVER do! Melissa ran a 5k, Tuccoa 2 dress sizes and 22 pounds, Gina lost 35 pounds and started teaching again, Rochelle lost 19 pounds and got her kids thinking differently about sugar and the way they eat. One step turns into two and three…strung together it turns into an entire journey. These girls exemplified that - they all started feeling better, gaining confidence, looking fantastic, and learning SO MUCH to take with them as they continue on their journeys.
You can’t do much better than that. It’s the process that’s important and the process that once you learn, will carry you through to your goals no matter what they are and no matter how much you have to lose. THIS is the surefire way to lose weight, the magic bullet so to speak; putting it all together one step at a time, slow and steady, consistent progress, decision by decision and day by day.
