April 23, 2008 was the first day of my weight loss journey.  That morning I woke up and decided that was not going to be the fat mom.  So, I worked out at work that day and eat better.  I did a lot of research online about low fat diets, calories, etc. because I had no clue HOW to lose weight. It’s been an amazing year ya’ll.  Full of ups and down, frustrations and victories and I’m so proud of what I’ve accomplished thus far.

God blessed me with the MMO program that REALLY helped me get pass some mental and physical roadblocks that have helped me immensely and words can not express how grateful I am to the wonderful people who’ve taught me so much over the last 12 weeks.

When you have a LOT of weight to lose, it can be so overwhelming that you just don’t even want to bother.  Please hear me when I tell you this- BOTHER.  If I can do it, ANYONE can do it.  I’m a girl who NEVER worked out and probably consumed at least 3000 calories a day before I learned about the importance of a BALANCED diet and the benefits of exercise.  YOU CAN SO DO IT.  You don’t have to join a gym- workout FREE on exercisev.tv or EXTV Video on Demand.   Fel like you don’t know anything about eating healthy?  Visit edeits.com, there are TONS of FREE resources to help you learn what foods are the best food for our body and how to eat the right portions to lose.

As of April 23, 2008, I weighed in at 310lbs.  I was living a wonderful life with my husband and son, but I was inactive and didn’t always have the energy to do all the physical games my baby boy wanted to do.  That’s when I said enough is enough.

Here were my stats:

Tops: 26/28w and 3X

Bottoms: 24w

Waist: 47 inches

Chest:51 inches

Hips: 51 inches

Arms: 21 inches

Now, I did not take pills, have surgery, starve myself or exercise 8 hours a day.  I did not lose at a “biggest loser” pace, but one thing I’ve learned in this past year is this “slow and steady wins the race” FOR REAL! J

I started the MMO program at 272 lbs. I was still living a wonderful life with my boys, and had made HUGE strides on my own but had hit a plateau.  Getting sick and having to take steroids made me gain 10 lbs in one week!!! I could not understand how I was exercising and eating right and no longer losing.

My stats of 2/5/09 were:

Tops: 20w and 2X

Bottoms: 18/20w

Waist: 39 inches

Chest:47 inches

Hips: 46 inches

Arms: 15 inches

Thigh (didn’t take this one before MMO): 28 inches

Calf (didn’t take this one before MMO):: 18 inches

As of today 4/27/09, I weigh 250lbs! My life is still wonderfully blessed, AND I get to run and play rough with my son without getting winded!

Here are my current stats:

Top: 16/18w and 1X

Bottom: 16w

Waist: 36 inches

Chest:44 inches

Hips: 42.5 inches

Arms: 13 inches

Thigh (didn’t take this one before MMO): 26 inches

Calf (didn’t take this one before MMO):: 17 inches

I took what I’ve learned about myself since working to lose weight, and combined that with all the knowledge and support I received from the ediets staff and coupled with the kiss ass workout plans from Steven and his encouragement and pushed myself BEYOND my physical limits. It all paid off!  J

I’ve come a long way, and I still have a way to go, but the good news is there is more behind me that I’ve conquered than there is in front of me to overcome. God is good y’all!

Be Blessed!
