Vacation Goals

Posted 3/25/2009 by Rochelle

Hi everyone!  I’m heading out tomorrow to Florida for my Spring Break and this is going to be a very tough challenge for me.  Not only do I have to control myself around all the great food I usually eat, I have to try and get workouts in!  I spent some time with Steve on Monday and discussed what my goals were over vacation and talked about REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS.  Obviously I’m not going to spend 3 hours in a gym on vacation but I told him that I could realistically see an hour or slightly longer if I’m feelin’ it.  Steve sent me a full workout schedule for both strength and cardio - way above and beyond what I expected but SO NICE to have!  As for food, I’m having my eDiets delivered to the condo in Florida.  I figured if I could have most of my regular meals I would be that much closer to success.  So here are my vacation goals:

      +           +          =

1)  Of the 15 days I will be away from home (most in Florida but a few will be back home in Indiana) I aim to workout on at least 10 of those days.  I know the travel days will not allow time for a workout and I have given myself a few days to rest.

2)  Food:  I will eat my eDiets meal delivery service food as much as possible if we are staying home for a meal.  BUT I will not be a slave to it.  The eDiet meals are there as guidelines and if I’m not feeling it I will still try to make a healthy choice if I’m not eating on plan.

3)  Eating Out:  My goal for eating out is to BE SMART!   Listen to my body.  If I am feeling full, stop eating!  I will order more grilled fish.  I’m going to an island in Florida after all!  I will indulge only once in a while on those items that I can only get there - sorry folks, I LOVE the clam chowder on the island!

4)  Blog and video!  Yes, I will be bringing my laptop with me so watch for updates.  I can be successful on vacation!  I’m hoping that at the end of the 2 weeks I’m gone, I’ve either lost 2-3 pounds or maintained my 199.  I’m realistic but I don’t want to lose ground here.  It’s taken me so long to get it off, I really don’t want to have to lose the weight again.

I hope everyone out there has a great week.  Go do something for YOURSELF - get a massage, a pedicure, a new CD, a new DVD, a manicure, a haircut, some highlights, SOMETHING.  You all deserve it because I know there are so many people out there working just as hard as us MMO girls.

  I can’t wait!!!

Love to all!

Rochelle- YOU CAN DO IT girl. When you feel like “forget it” just think back to the start of your 14 month journey- you’ve made it sooooo far and you WILL be 185 in no time. And if that doesn’t work, think of me- you ned to get smaller to send me more cute clothes! :) LMAO!!! Lova ya and be safe!
