Happy Wednesday everyone!
First let me say how EXCITED I am that Rochelle has reached 199lbs!! Man, I’m so proud and happy for her, she is out of the 200s- that is so BIG.
Guess what guys? I’m injured!
I blogged about a week ago about my right heel hurting. Went to see the podiatrist yesterday and I have Plantar Fasciitis- Inflammation of the connective tissue on the bottom of the foot due to excessive wear of the plantar fascia that supports the arches of the foot. I also popped a bone out of place in my foot (OUCH).
The dr. said that it’s likely that I popped the bone out of place from doing the lunges that Steven loves so much
and landing on my foot wrong. (The correct form is sooo important guys- one of the challenges of not being able to work out with Steven in person like the other ladies is that I don’t really know if I’m using correct form on some exercises, so try to ask one of the guys at your gym if you’re working out alone). So, I’m actually doing good- she popped the bone back in place- didn’t hurt at all, wrapped me up- I gotta have the foot wrapped for the next few days. the only restrictions I have are no treadmill, high impact aerobics or lunges for the next few days. So, I’m doing the precore machine for the rest of this weeks workout. I also have to take an anti-inflammatory RX for the next 14 days and then check back with her for a follow up appt. She said that it’s likely the bone will pop back out as long as I’m workout out so intensely, so when i go to the follow up I’ll be taking my husband so she can teach him how to pop it back in. The Plantar Fasciitis takes about a month to get better, so I have a few exercises for the foot every morning to help with that.
Can i just tell you that I’m pretty excited to have an injury? LOL. I’m proud to walk around with this silly tape on my foot because its proof of my hard work. (Plus basketball players get this injury all the time- how COOL is it that I have the same injury as Chris Kaman of the LA Clippers! That’s Fresh!

OUCH Tuccoa. I am so sorry you popped a bone. That must have just hurt to have it all popped out and all. I am so happy you are okay. Hang in there and do what Steve recommends for you.
Oh no! You popped the bone out? Yikers. If it makes you feel better I’ve had plantar fascitis too. I had to get some special inserts for my shoes - anyone out there who has it should go to the Good Feet Store. It’s expensive but I have NO pain EVER anymore (BTW Thanks dad!) You’ll be fine - don’t forget about the bike too Tuccoa! PS Thanks for the encouragement!
Oh girl I feel your pain! As you know I hurt my foot just before we started. It sucks to have an injury but that doen’t mean we can’t modify! Just take good care of it so you can get right back to your hard work. You are doing so great!
