So I’m reading your blogs every day and thinking to myself…”Wow, to the casual observer, you guys make this look EASY PEASY!” Seriously - you are sticking with it, loving the food, getting the exercise in, NO EXCUSES!
But ladies I KNOW this is tough and it’s not easy peasy, that it’s your true commitment to your health and focus on succeeding at this that is at work. And hard work. We know here that this is uniquely challenging for each of you - whether it’s travel, the munchies, being SO SORE you have to soak, fatigue, feeling like you’re not succeeding, or fighting old ways of thinking…you are all PRESSING ON (or PUSHING UP quite literally, ha-ha) and through these obstacles that so many others would let stop them, and each of you is finding your way forward.
There is no failure, EVER, in that!
And let’s talk about that push-up challenge! WOW-wow-WOW my hats off to all of you guys - muscle heads!! Full-on, full-body push-ups!! Check you guys OUT!! I love the pictures!
I thought of you guys yesterday morning when I was doing MY workout! I was B-E-A-T near the end…I mean TOASTED after my training. I thought about throwing in the towel and blowing off the little bit of cardio I still needed to do (“Man I’m beat, and it’s not like my 20 minutes of cardio is THAT important, come oooon that’s nothing! not even worth bothering with after all that, what’s it really going to accomplish? You NEED the rest.! My confession: Yes I talk to myself A LOT at the gym ;)) and you guys POPPED into my mind! Those 2 hour workouts with Steve, coming home to the advil and dropping into bed, or soaking in the tub after those pushups! No way I could walk out on that…so the cardio got done
You guys were my moment of truth yesterday - thank you!!
We’re officially into our 4th week, at the end of this week, 1/3 of the way through this challenge! This week, I’d like each of you guys to take a look at how far you’ve come. How have some of your habits changed? Your thinking? Are you responding differently to stress? What about others and their reaction to you, the choices you make, and how your fine selves are slowly shrinking and changing?
Shout it out there, be proud! Four weeks in and you guys are hanging tough…stay focused, you own this now ![]()

WOW Cathy, I just would’ve never guessed that WE could motivate YOU. That’s fresh.
To everyone out there, We may make it look easy, but it’s NOT. WE are busting our butts, everyday, for a total of 1.45-2 hours a day and I think we’ve all invested in advil. lol Just like everyone mom told us when we were little : anythig worth having is worth working for”. It’s worth it to all of us to be at a healthy weight, and we’re working hard for it.
